How to Get to Riding Ancient Rome Stable

We are just 25 minutes from the center of Rome (near the Colosseum).
Directions
Public Transportation: take underground line A to the Colli Albani – Parco Appia Antica stop. Bus routes 765, 87, and 660 also run near our stable.
Nearby Attractions: the Tomb of Cecilia Metella, Circus of Maxentius, and Catacombs are very close to the stable and are served by the 660 bus.
Taxi: A taxi from central Rome takes about 25 minutes, depending on traffic.
Archeobus: Consider the touristic Archeobus route, which stops nearby.
Private Car: We offer free parking inside the stable. Refer to the map for directions.

Riding Experience – Do we have to be experienced riders?
No, we cater to all experience levels, from beginners to experts. Beginners typically enjoy a 1-hour ride, while experienced riders can opt for tailored experiences.
Children’s Rides – Do you accommodate children?
Yes, the minimum age for riding is 14. Younger children can ride with a guide leading the horse. Please inform us if you are bringing children for cost and availability.
Experienced Riders – What do you offer for EXPERIENCED riders?
For experienced riders, we provide exhilarating rides along the Appian Way with options for trotting and cantering. Book a private tour for a faster-paced experience.
Dress Code – What should I wear?
Wear long trousers (jeans are great!) and closed shoes. Avoid sandals or jandals for safety.
Photography – Can I bring my camera?
Absolutely! We can take pictures for you and email them after your ride.

Opening Hours – When are you open?
We are open 7 days a week, except on Christmas Day.
Booking and Cancellation – Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, booking in advance is recommended, especially during spring and summer. Our horses rest after 4 hours of work, so advance booking ensures availability.
What if it rains?
We ride in all weather conditions. We have a flexible 24-hour cancellation policy during winter. Please call within 3 hours of your ride if you’re unsure due to weather.
Facilities – Are there toilet facilities available?
Yes, there is a toilet at the stable.
Non-Riders’ Facilities:
Non-riders can enjoy a nearby bar on the Appian Way or take a short walk to the Tomb of Cecilia Metella and Catacombs. Our clubhouse will soon offer refreshments for non-riders too.
