Wonderful experience! When we arrived we were greeted by one of our guides and got to meet our horses. All of the staff were very friendly and spoke English well. The ride itself was magical. We learned a lot about the Appian way and the history of it from our two wonderful guides. The horses were amazing, relaxed and sweet.I totally recommend going here!

Wonderful riding experience!! My father, sister, and I all visited Rome for the first time and this was one of our favorite activities! It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and see the countryside on horseback. Sandro was our tour guide and knew we had riding experience and let us canter through the fields. Wonderful memory! We also did lunch and their grandma cooks it homemade. Absolutely delicious and one of the best meals we had in Italy!

Very nice to go horse riding on Via Appia Antica. Unique experience to discover the scenery. The staff is very nice and helpful (they walked us all the way as we are absolute beginners in horse riding). Really enjoyed it and definitely recommend it

I went for a three-hour ride on my new friend Quitica. Sandro was a great guide, stopping along the way to point out important and interesting sights, and the pace the entire time was perfect. We walked along the cobblestone-lined Appian Way, pausing at several mausoleums and markers, and spent time trotting and cantering over rolling hills, past farms, and through a bit of woods at one point. The scenery was all breathtaking. After the ride, my travel buddy met us back at the stable for lunch, which consisted of toast with tomatoes and artichokes, homemade pasta, orange chicken, and a peachy-flavored pastry. Everything was fantastic. We are both incredibly grateful to have experienced Rome this way! Thank you all so much! One note about getting to the stable: we arrived separately since she wasn't going to ride, and both of our Uber drivers had a hard time finding it. The location on Google maps is spot on, though, so just refer to that if you run into issues getting there.

Tourist trap! Don't go! Not real horse riding! It is overpriced and exceptionally boring experience. There were three of us, one beginner and two with some experience. However, all the way guides were walking by foot and holding leashes of the horses (== no self riding, like we were 5 year children!). We were walking on a public road for 45 minutes and walking back 45 minutes more on the very same road. So only on road, straight, very slowly. Guides were speaking little english and said only a few words during the whole trip. Also my beginner friend asked a few times to explain him the basics but they were too lazy to do show anything. They made zero attempt to make the ride interesting. Summarizing, we paid 2x75 euros for a boring slow childish walk on the public road. Shame!

An exceptional opportunity. My horse was clearly trained and well worked. He was gentle and calm but also responsive when asked. Sandro was an excellent guide. He understood what I wanted out of this beautiful experience. All I hoped for. Thank you Sandro, Lorella and Nonna for the wonderful memory.

When we got there, there was no direction. Everyone just continued working. I wasn't even sure if we were in the right area. Some guy who barely spoke English just said, "get helmet". There was one other couple along with my husband and I that were kind of confused as well. They ended up calling us over one by one to get on our horses. Once we were all one he said "stay in line and with space" and that was it. No direction on how to ride, no name of the horse or anything. So if you're looking for super friendly or anything personalized, this is not where you will find it. During the ride, the guides didn't say much at all. On some of the ride you are on a somewhat busy street with cars. The horses do get spooked a little as well. Which it's an animal, you can't control it. The horse behind mine kept bitting my horses butt so it would make mine not want to stay in a single line which then the guide was yelling for me to get back in line. t one point, I guess the couples horses behind mine started kicking each other and rearing up which made the lady behind me get thrown off and stomped on. Thankfully she was okay. After that, we were kinda all over the place. The guides had to walk with the extra horses. I'm not sure how these horses are punished but the guide kept flinging his hand in the face of the horse that bucked the lady off which would freak my horse out. In the end, I understand they're animals and you can't always control them but your guides could make it a little more personable. At least mentioning the horses name and giving a quick lesson. Even though all of us have rode before we mentioned they did nothing of that sort.We opted for the meal at the end and it was absolutely fabulous! The chicken was probably some of the best I have ever had. They started with a bruschetta. Then it was a red sauce pasta. After we had some type of delicious orange chicken, stuff mushrooms and a salad. It was delicious. For desert was a pastry that was out of this world. They give you as much wine as you can drink as well. I definitely recommend getting the meal if you ride! It was well worth it!

This is a great way to experience Rome away from ticket lines and the hordes of tourists. Just a 15 minute cab ride from the center of Rome, you can be transported back in time and experience the Appian Way on horseback. It was a beautiful spring morning when we went and my kids loved it. This is a simple family run stable but the horses were beautiful and very docile on the trail - you don't need to be an experienced rider to enjoy this small adventure! Definitely recommended for family and friends!
